A new initiative, the Hub for Housing Justice, has launched online to bring civil society and research organisations together to transform housing systems through a justice-focused approach. The Hub promotes anti-discriminatory housing policies, democratic housing production, sustainable and caring urban infrastructure, and innovative visions for future housing.

Around the world, housing injustice is pushing more than two billion people into housing deprivation. The commodification of land and housing results in displacement, eviction and unhealthy living conditions for the poorest people.

In June 2024, the steering group of the Hub for Housing Justice and key allies came together in London to co-develop the hub’s objectives and scope of work.
